T3/T04E but what trim should i go with?
Ive decided that ill go with a t3/t04e turbo but not sure what trim to go with, here's my setup.
Help me decide guys...
LS/VTEC TURBO
b16 head ported/polished
3 angle valve job
GSR cams
Skunk2 springs/retainers
ARP head studs
Hondata heatshield gasket
ITR intake manifold
Inline pro exhaust manifold
Tial wastegate
Tial blow off valve
Eagle rods
Wiseco 9.0:1 pistons
Hondata stage 2b
The block will be sleeved and ill have 2 seperate chips burnt when i get it tuned. Basically one for street at say 15psi and the other for drag at 18psi.
thanks guys,

the set up you have there is more than the average set up..!! now for the amount of bosst you are wanting to run you can go with a 60-1 t4 due to the fact that the t3/t04e will run out of breath ( so to speak) pretty much maxinng out at 18psi.. it is always beetter to get it slightly bigger that the one you want because after a while youll want more... but the best set up for your motor if t3/t04e is the only choice will be .60 compressor stage 3 or 5 .63 a/r ... good luck

you really think a t04e maxes out at 18psi ? ive seen a 60 trim, stage 3 wheel, .60a/r compressor, .82a/r turbine make like 550whp at 25psi...

1st you won't need two 'chips' to run at 15 and 18 psi...
one will do, any good tuner can do this... I know I can.
Most of the To4E compressors will support your power needs. (46 + trim)
A 50 trim will work for you quite well. My experience comes from using
full t4 turbos, i.e. a t4 trubine and a to4e compressor.
The tough choice is going to be the t3 turbine A/R. A .63 will spool well, but
may restrict you on top when running 18 psi, in this case a .82 may be needed.
Again this is where your taste and needs comes in. get a stage 5 turbine in a
.63 housing and try it out. If you feel the need for better top end (way topend)
and can deal with some lag, changing the housing is quite easy and fairly cheap.
(~$100, less if used)
Try and find others that have done what you want and get their opinion.
