T3 .60/.63 VS SSAC T04E .50/.63 - Why is the SSAC Compressor So HUGE?
I was running a t3 .60/.63 on my car, started smoking so I bought a SSAC t04e .50/.63
I get them side by side now and the compressor housing on the SSAC is a GOOD bit larger
Any reason why its so big yet the AR is lower?

Let's see now, perhaps because you are comparing a t3 to a t4?
The A:R isn't necessarily a size measurement, it's a ratio of the area of the outlet to the radius of the housing. I can't find a picture off hand but here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turbocharger is a little info.
