t3/60-1 turbo vs t3/t4 57trim
hi guys
currently running a t3/t4 57trim but looking at upgrading to a t3/60-1 turbo (below)
http://www.full-race.com/catalog/pro...roducts_id=251
has anyone run one of these on a b18c? just want to get an idea of how much more lag there will be in comparison to the 57trim t3/t4..
thanks - dan

Re: t3/60-1 turbo vs t3/t4 57trim
thanks buddy
brief spec
b18r
wiseco pistons eagle rods
ITR Head
ITR cams
ITR inlet manifold and TB
AFI ramhorn
AFI 3" downpipe and 3" exhaust system
garrett backdoor intercooler
currently pushing 422bhp at the flywheel at 1.25 bar on the t3/t4 57trim .63
how much more power is it likely to make with the t3/60-1 if run at the same boost? (1.25bar approx)
how much more power will the 82 housing make over the .63 and difference in lag?
and how much more lag does the t3/60-1 have over the t3/t4 57trim?
thanks for the help mate

It also depends upon the turbine exhaust wheel used. Not just the A/R. There are combinations that reach maximum pressure under 20psi in under 4200rpms as opposed to 3500rpms of a 57 trim. but you have to look at the top end issue. 430whp vs. over 550whp. 50lbs/min vs. 61lbs/min. "lag" is relative to what you're trying to do with the car.

understood thanks buddy
how much more power do you think the 60-1 is likely to make over the t3/t4 57trim if they were both running at approx 1.3bar?

Re: t3/60-1 turbo vs t3/t4 57trim
nice, so makes a fair difference then. how does the power hit on the t3/60-1? is it a lazy turbo compared to the 57trim or is it still quite responsive?
would a 60trim be a worthy upgrade over the 57trim or isnt there alot of difference? guessing there wouldnt be alot with the 60trim pulling a few more lbs or air than the 57trim..?

there's not too much of a difference b/w a 57 trim and a 60 trim. again, on the 60-1, characteristics change on the exhaust wheel. It CAN be quite responsive, but it depends upon the wheels and covers used.
What is your ULTIMATE question? because you keep bouncing back and forth between the 3 turbos for the last few months. If this is a circuit car, you don't need a 60-1 at all. but if this is for something else, you need to state that, and not just ask for dynos. That tells only one part of the story.

Re: t3/60-1 turbo vs t3/t4 57trim
lol i know
right well its a street car but will see some track days aswell, ultimately i am looking to get more power than what i currently have but at the same boost.. hence why i ask, what the 60-1 is likely to perform if run at 1.25bar approx in comparison to the 57trim at 1.25bar approx which is currently pushing 422bhp at the fly.
sorry if im being a pain buddy lol just cant find alot of info on this turbo on this site
