Default t3 .48/.50 turbo

I got an old turbo from a 300 Mercedes .48/.50. It is brand new. I was wondering if it would be good on my b18c1. I am looking for about 260whp with stock internals.

You could try it but there are a lot of other costs involved in addition to the turbo that you're not thinking about. Just because you have a free/cheap turbo, doesn't mean its worth doing.

You still need:
-manifold
-downpipe
-wastegate
-injectors
-bov
-EMS/tuning
-clutch
-intercooler
-oil lines
-couplers/clamps
-MAP sensor
-etc...

The turbo isn't the only piece you need to make this work

Does that turbo even use a standard flange? A lot of the OEMs use a funny flange.

I got the turbo, downpipe, oil lines, v band, boost gauge, and intercooler for $500. I know what I need for it to work. I am just wondering if this would be a good turbo for my goals. It uses a t3 flange.

How much power did that Mercedes make with it?

Need to take off the housings and measure the wheels. Only way to really know "what it is"

Well it came off a turbo diesel Mercedes.

I can tell you it isn't big enough to make the power you want. It's something like a 40 trim t3 turbo. Someone took you for your money. Of course it doesn't really help that you didn't know what you were buying. I hour everything is in super great shape for the money or else you really got screwed.
