Re: symptoms of bad fmu? (SIK IN DA HED)
Rich at idle... (low idle, black smoke)
Hesitation at the transition from vacuum to boost (a symptom of all FMUs really)
If you have a fuel pressure gauge - erratic fuel pressure when not in boost...

i figured the diaphram might be the reason why im leaning out at WOT. from most of the responses ive gotten, i assumed that if the diaphram was bad, it would leak fuel. so did u just replace the diaphram? how much does it cost?

how would the fmu cause the car to lean out at WOT? not adjusting the spring to compensate for more fuel? im wondering why some ruptured diapraghms leak fuel and why it wouldnt.

Ruptured disc, won't sustain pressure. Fuel pressure goes down, fuel delivery goes down... motor go bOOm!
