swollen top radiator hose, help
hey guys,
I just came back from driving the car like for 15mins, when i got home and open the hood, i noticed that my top radiator hose has swollen up, its hugeeeee, its like almost to blow up ..... also when its not doing this, sometimes the overflow bottle would be all the way full
could this be from a blown headgasket ??
help ...

do this
when is your engine is cold
open the radiator cap
start up the engine and let it idle
if coolant flys out , your headgasket is poopie

if the hose is soft and feels like it balloned out its usually from oil....oil softens the hose and then it expands...do you have oil in your coolant?

Do you have oil, gray sludge around the radiator cap, or black bits of crud in your coolant?
Also do compression and leak down tests, that should tell you how healthy your motor is.

If your sleeves moved then your HG is probably blown, that is just one way to break the HG seal. you should find out what caused the HG to blow if thats the case... the only real way to know it's your sleeves is by checking the deck and make sure the sleeves are flush with the block deck.
I would start by checking to see if oil/water mixed anywhere, if thats ok then replace the hose.
