Surge tank fuel setup- Not getting fuel pressure, WTF?
Long time no post. I am finally ready to start my car up, here is my fuel setup- Walbro 255hp feeding up to a surge tank that has the inlet for the walbro, inlet for the rail return, inlet, and an inlet for return to the tank, all of these three on top, then it has an outlet on the bottom feeding an A1000 pump, and that leads to the rail. Now I have the walbro set up with the stock wiring, and it's getting power with the ignition on, and then the A1000 is using a relay that is triggered by the same harness for the stocker, and I can audibly hear the A1000 prime with the ignition on. Anyways, my rail mounted fuel press gauge is not showing pressure, nor does the needle move at all when the ignition is on, so I assume the isn't a leak, but I went through and tightened all the fittings and am still not getting anyting so if anyone has some input, please share. BTW the fuses are good and so is the main relay, otherwise the A1000 wouldn't prime.

I am not sure what ECU you are using, but when you turn the key on OEM based stuff the fuel pump does not stay running, it just primes for 2 seconds or so to build up pressure and remains off until you turn the key..... have you tried starting the car? I wouldnt worry much about it my old setup never showed positive pressure on the gauge until I started it.

I am using a P72 with RTP, I tried cranking it to build pressure but nothing, but heres the weird thing, when I took the fittings off and re tightened them, there was some gas in the surge tank lines, and they were brand new, so I would think that the walbro would have had to do that since the A1000 is gravity feed.

I have it set to "normal", that seems like it might be the issue, I will burn a new chicp and see what happens, thanks man!

Try a longer prime duration after trying the always on feature. What FPR and if not stock, then what orifice is installed, checked installation of orifice, and condition of diaphram? Try a stock reulator if your setup allows.

Well for right now, for startup I am running the stock fuel rail and FPR with some 450's, but I have a billet rail, Aeromotive FPR, and some 1600's once running good.
