Default supercharger killing transmission?

I talked to one of the best shops around where I live, and the guy there told me that running a JRSC on my car at about 6-7 psi on an automatic 2000 Civic EX would cut the live of my transmission in half. Is that true? What about reduced engine life, how much?
Thanks,
Adam

FI with an automatic will in the end ruin it. Ask him if running a transmission cooler will benefit at all. JMO uses tranny coolers with all there torque convertor modifications....but how much HP it can handle...can't answer that....engine life is always all about tuning....try rethinking about SC and swap to a turbo setup.....you might get away with 6psi on an auto....with a tranny cooler.....for abit longer.....because that turbo will probably spool up all the way at 3000rpm.....with a small turbo of course.....
