Default Supercharger exhaust rec..

Ok I need some help deciding what to do with my exhaust.
basically right now i have a modified ITR bpipe, and a custom axleback.

the axle back is 2.5" but hits on my swaybar so I need to get it rebuilt.
and the ITR bpipe is 2.25" but where it connects to the axleback, it dips down to like 2" so i need to get that fixed as well.

What I'm not sure of what to do, is whether or not to rebuild the axle back in 2.5" or 2.25" ??

I'm running a d15b JRSC 9.5psi,
it makes around 175-180whp and 135tq

So i'm wondering, which would be better?
the 2.25 piping all the way through
or 2.25 to 2.5" setup ??

lmk what you think,
thanks.

If you have either the kami or JDM DC header like you should, the header opening should be 2.5". I would just go full 2.5" from the header back. And you shouldn't have clearance issues with 2.5". I've seen a bazillion 2.5" exhausts clear aftermarket sways.

can't afford to go 2.5 all the way right now..
the bpipes gotta stay 2.25

is your bottom end all stock?? any head work?? the 177 whp is pretty good. im leaning towards the jrsc because someone is offering me a setup for under 1k. i hope to hit 200 whp on it then shoot another 100 wet nitrous to hit my goal of 300 whp.

nice numbers

but have you thought of adding in a e cut out in the cat area, that way you can keep whatever you got and have the best flow when you boost.

if not cut out id recomend the 2.5 step up atleast it improves somewhere LOL

ok thanks.
totally stock d15b longblock.
9.5psi and proper tuning.

I don't know that a dumptube would be a good idea, because
a supercharger isn't like a turbo setup, it doesn't have to fight back pressure..
so 0 exhaust isn't neccesarily the best option

which is why I was wondering about the piping sizes on my setup.

pm if you have more q's about a dseries jrsc setup, I don't want this thread to get off topic.

thanks.

well wouldnt the faster you get the exhaust out the better? i know we see a lot of gains when we go to e cut outs on blown f bodies.

its not NA so you dont need the scavanging effect under boost. atleast thats what i think anyways.

well on a NA setup you want to have the proper sized exhaust and exit point. if you set it up right the exhaust and the atmospheric pressure pulls the exhaust out of the motor, creats a scavanging effect and help the motor breath better, the motor doesnt push the exhaust out, the atmosphere pulls it out.

on a blower setup, i would think you would want a cutout somewhere after the header collector, perhaps the cat area.

atleast thats my plan
