supercharged...want to go turbo..advice on setup?
95 Integra GSR
I want to build the block really stong. Should i go with a closed deck block, what bore? I would like to bump up to a 2.0L.
I want to make 300 whp on pump gas. It looks like alot of people use the LS head when they go turbo, why? I dont know anything about turbo setups, but my goal is 300 hp. I would just like some ideas for what compression pistons, and a turbo that can net me 300 + hp and have minimal lag.
thanks,

Never heard of anybody using an ls head on a gsr block that would make a gsr/nonvtec....
anyways.....read the archives you'll learn a lot.

got ya.
It's up to you, if you have the gs-r head slap it on...
It seems as though most go with what they have, generally utilizing the stock head and when funds allow they may upgrade to a vtec head???Actuall i just made that up...most either have in mind that they want a turbo ls/vtec ot they want a turbo ls. .....
I have neither.....just a simple turbo b16a.
If your sleeving why not start with a b20 block it's 2.0ltr already.

If you're sleeving, why go with a B20 block. It makes no difference if you use a B20 or B18B block, they both use the same crankshafts and will be the same cost to sleeve to whatever bore you want.
IMO, if you want 300 WHP on pump gas go get a GSR swap, throw in some .5MM over JE's, eagle rods, a blockguard and get a good tune. Lots of people pushing 400+ on stock sleeves/pump gas.

correct.... I just figured a b20 block may be cheaper....anyways
