Default supercharged b16 or turbo D series ??????

ok, heres the situation, im an idiot and decided to buy a supercharger before i had the actual car.
i was thinkin of gettin an eg w/a b16 and slappin the sc on it and baisically call it a day, but then i also realy realy wanna get a 96+ ek (i had an eg before), BUT i cant afford a 96+ek w/a b16, mabee a stock sohc, soo, i was thinkin of sellin the sc and buyin a sohc greddy turbo kit, and run stock internals and stuff, at maybe 5psi (daily driven), which u think would be best??
ohh and im not lookin at havin a 10 sec 900hp car, 200hp and im good to go,

There are way too many of these questions on this board, but here's my opinion.

Do a turbocharged B18B. Do a custom turbo setup yourself. You'll be very happy with the results. The B18B swap is "cheap" and so is a custom turbo.

But, if all you'll ever want is a 200 HP car, a turbo SOHC will do the trick. I still wouldn't go with the Greddy.

ok, u think even a turbo sohc would pull harder then a sc b16, no upgraded pulleys or nethin just sock 5lb pully or watever it is

I don't want to turn this into a big supercharger vs. turbo debate thread but in the end a turbo motor should easily take a pulley blown motor on top. Again, we rarely ever work with supercharged motors.

Put a snail on that single cam and call it a day. Just use some GOOD engine management.
