I'm *NEVER* going to use the power that my SC61 is capable of making, and the lag is basically.... horrible. I'm looking for something with a lot less lag, but it needs to be capable of pulling all the way to red line on my B18C and be capable of at least 300whp (which they all seem to be). I'm looking at the SC34, but I can't really find any info on anyone with a B series running the 34. Will the SC50 provide the power and quick spool that I need?

Personal experiences/numbers with precision turbo/b18c's would be nice... don't forget to include you lag time.

Basically you need to calculate what your preferences are in terms of the goals that you want to have. Personally, it seems that many people like the SC44 w/ a slight change in turbine wheel to allow for faster spool up, but still be able to hold up to redline. These are good to about 330whp from my experience and specifications. You are correct though, the SC61 AS IS, would probably be a bit laggy for your needs if you stay stock. Now if you plan to build the motor, etc, then the SC61 could still do something for you. PM me, let's get you spec'd out.

E housing, .63a/r, 76trim... it doesn't hit 10psi till somewhere between 5500 and 6000. It's pretty bad... and I was way overzealous when I picked the SC61.

on my sc61 i build some boost before 32-3500 and hit full boost at about 47-5000.

but is your trim 76?? 76 is pretty big compare to the usual 60 trim so that might be the reason for his lag.

the 76 trim is refering to the exhaust wheel... if i remember right...

T350 76 trim = Stage 5 turbine wheel
T31 76 trim = Stage 3 turbine wheel
T31 69 trim = Stage 2 turbine wheel

or some ****.

Yeah although the sc61 is a pimp turbo it isn't for everyone. Alot people strive to hit #'s and sometimes they hit thier #'s but Id rather have a smaller turbo, capable of hitting the #'s I want while having a nice powerband

Ski Rebel 3 is running a Gsr hondata sc34 10-10.5 psi and hit just under 300.... 295/212. It was tuned by tony1. I am also running the sc34 on my Ls, and I like it, It's not very laggy and it pulls strong to redline.

Talk to Arturbo when considering something of this range Art usually recomends the sc50 over the sc34. Talk to him and he will point you in the right direction.

It comes with more turbine options but the stage 5 is what has worked best for me. Depending on the displacement I'll go with a larger 69 trim too.

something is wrong with your setup dude. i just reviewed some logged data... i am hitting 10 psi at more like 4500. what manifold are you using? i'm running the inlinePro.

All units PTE offers it in either a .48A/R or .63A/R

my wg would open up at 4800 on a tired ls motor, i think you are having other problems if you cant spool 10 pounds before 5.5-6

edit: and that was with S housing

he is running a Drag manifold and i think a 2.5" dp also, not real sure. tial wg and i am not so sure what size exhaust he is using

i think hes right. 10psi @ 5500 is definitly abnormal. Is this a b16a?

Imho you should go with the sc61. I have this turbo on a stock bottom end b16 and its not that laggy and i am running a 2.5dp, inline pro manifold. Hit full boost by 5400.

get a 3" dp and run that by itself. see if that helps your spool time. this is something you should have anyway.

Really? I asked you before if they offered the 61 in a stage 3 wheel and I think you said no. Meh o wells.

Its not offered in a stage 3 wheel from precison. The Stage 3 wheel is a T31 76 trim. The 69 trim I was talking about comes from the T04 family of turbines. So you can get the SC61 with either a T350 76 trim aka Stage 5 turbine, T04 .69 trim or T04 .76 trim aka the "p-trim".

And the SC61 is NOT offered in a .48AR either even tho their website says it does. Its a MISTAKE on their website that I pointed out to them.
