Stupid question but what does EGT stand for and what is a EGT
The stupid topic says it all..what da hell is a EGT gauge ???what does it show / do ? / record

Exhaust Gas Temperature, records the temperature of the exhaust gases coming out of the head, into the exhaust manifold. Usually a probe placed in the exhaust manifold or sometimes downpipe to record the temperature. The temperature will give you an estimate of how your motor is running, lean/rich. Best if EGT used in conjunction with a/f gauge or wibeband 02 sensor.
