Stroking a GSR............
 

will be better and cheaper if i use parts from another motor or will it be better to just buy a stroker kit from online. BTW this is going on a turbo motor.

U might as well use the GSR crank and call it a day. The gains will be negligable when you go turbo, for the difference in perfomance, you could turn the boost up 1psi and make up for the less displacement, and then some........

I put an LS crank in a GSR block and gained about 40CC of displacement. Tourqe comes up sooner than w/a gsr crank also.

thats why i wanted to do it. was fora litte more torque. all you did was just drop in an LS crank?? didn't have to change the rods or pistons??

Ls crank = U have to use LS rods.

I had GSR Pistons that had to be modified to fit on the LS rods.

The block needed some machining work for the crank to clear.

gsr block with ls crank, and ls rods.


you will have to bend or plug the gsr oil squirters so the ls crank doesnt hit them.

I'm running an Eagle stroker kit with eagle rods. 95mm stroke 82mm bore alittle over 2.0 liters. The power band is wide and fat! But it's not necessary, so get used to people telling u that.
