Strange Clicking noise when coming off boost ..... please help
Hi guys
ive done plenty of research to find answer for my problem but no luck so i wondered if anyone could help.
PROBLEM :
i am using an AVCR, and i understand its ok to hear clicking noises while in boost,
however ever since my mechanic rebuilt the engine it doesnt hold boost and i can hear a very loud and fast clicking noise every time i come off boost.
if i turn the setting "off" on the avcr i dont hear this noise, only when its on i do.
it sounds like its coming from the soleniod or the hondata s300 iam using.
any ideas ?

go look at what this "mechanic" did to your car, possibly screwed up your vacum line routing.....
the clicking you are hearing is most likely the boost control solenoid trying to relieve or achieve a designated number or target.
i would suggest getting your user manual out for the avcr, and reading through it.
my other suggestion would be to use the apexi solenoid with the s300 and have the s300 do all of your boost control
