Stock H22A head ok for boost ?

How much can a fully stock H22A Head hold up to when boosted AND if not revved past 7200rpm (MSD Limiter with 7200 chip installed)?

I'm rebuilding my bottom end with Mahle 9:1 for FRM, Eagle H-Beam Rods, all new bearings and still gonna use my RC Eng. 550CC Injectors. Do you guys think the stock head should be ok?

8 or 9 pounds with stock internals is what i was told, because our H22's have soft ring landings so its suggested not to go higher than that, you can get a couple thousand miles out of that.

Great! So why do so many people build their heads up to the fullest?? Just wondering.... I run into guys who act like they know alot and the first thing they tell me is "Oh man you should go get your head port and polished - it'll be screaming" lol. I just smile :)

Just like the guy from a few weeks ago who I was explaining to that my motor is turbocharged and he asks me then "....so, does it have a big cold-air intake?" Priceless, I was filling gas and ended up putting more gas than I needed after that comment lol.

Or when your in an argument with them when they think a boosted l.s in a 95 civic will be beatin by his stock integra...which he thinks is RWD. lmfao

So personally I wouldn't trust mahles but it's your motor aka not my problem. If stock can take 8-9 psi then the mahles should be ok for the same maybe a few lbs more depending on the turbo. I wouldn't push it over 350-375whp unless you like rebuilding your motor

I know a dude making more about 450(more or less) on a stock h22, but he has an amazing fuel system and a great turbo kit.

Why, because its gonna be that much easier to make power. The h22's love to breath, we gained about 15 to 20hp all motor just by upgrading the head internals. We made 225 all motor, stock bottom end. Then we tossed some boost into it an ran 325 on 8psi.

Why do beer companies use wide mouth cans now, because its easier to drink and get more liquid into your body quicker. Why ask why.

He had for a long time, he recently just blew the motor, his goal was to run 9's on a stock motor. his last run was a 10.984 on the 1/4 mile
