stock gsr turbo kit build
ive got a 1999 honda civic dx im about to swap in a 1996-2001 gsr obd2. ive got all the parts for the swap but now im looking at puting a turbo kit on and ive been looking and i think im going with peakboost. im just getting an idea on all the parts ill need, ive done a bit of reasearch over the honda tech forum and have come up with this parts list:
-Stock gsr
-peakboost turbo kit (t3/t04e)
-550cc injectors (dont know exactly who im going with)
-hondata s300
-255 fuel pump
-stage 3 exedy clutch
-2.5-3" turbo exhaust.
if theres anything to add that ive missed pls suggest things, names and brands to go with. this is all to reach my whp goal of 250-300. i will be building the following winter doing internals, sleeving the block etc. to reach 350-400 whp.
any suggestions or opinions are greatly apreciated,, thanks! also any ideas on a nice exhaust fitting the ek that hooks up with the gsr.

I'd go with a boost gauge and oil pressure, but a wideband is only useful if you actually know what to look for. If you go to a reliable tuner, you can save buying a wideband. Personally, i've only ever run with a boost gauge.
Get a GM 3bar map sensor right away. The stock map sensor is a 1.8bar (1bar atmospheric pressure + .8bar positive pressure) and can only read ~10.6psi. Anything over that requires a bigger map sensor and a complete retune since the scaling on the map sensors is different

Along with items everyone stated above,
What engine mounts are you going to be using? If you have OEM mounts, I would suggest replacing them with Hasports or equivalent.
Also, look into some form of boost control, whether it be a "manual" controller or a Hondata (MAC) solenoid.
A fuel pressure regulator is also a good idea aswell if base pressure adjustments are needed. A fuel rail is not needed for 300hp, but anything further than that, I would upgrade.

Re: stock gsr turbo kit build
Honesty, 300whp you should easily do that on 10psi wg spring. So if you choose to use that spring no bc is needed right away.
However if you like the idea of being able to run lower spring like 5 or 7psi, get a hallman or grimspeed. Those are the only one I've dealt with which weren't too sensitive to to adjustment or fall apart like knock off ebay bc.

ye im uprgrading the motormounts to hasport thanks 4genaccordfreak, i just want to get the most out of this stock motor with boost without going inside the motor doing internals or building the block, i'm tryna do this the right way so its reliable as this will be my dd, thanks for the help guys!
1 more thing though, any suggestions on an exhaust that will fit my ek hatch and will mount up with the gsr? or just take it to an exhaust shop to custom make one?

There are mandrel 2.5" and 3" weld kits for sale on the internet. Buy the piping, take it to an exhaust shop, and have them weld it into place. Some places will be finicky about the "stock" location of the catalytic convertor and cannot install exhaust prior to the cat.

These two options give you the price difference between welding it yourself (or having someone else do it for you $$) or buying the same kit that simply bolts in place.

With a PFab log Manifold, Blox intake ,fuel rail, AEM FPR, China bay Turbo T3 , 57 trim (ebay). 38mm wastegate Tial, 3inch Exh all the way back ! I made 307whp @10psi on pump gas (93),on a stock JDM GSR motor (B18C). Wit a chippd P28.
You will be just fine, just follow the good advises they give you here. And do things right at first. And also , just find a very good tuner that know what he's doin.
Good luck !!
