stock EF fuel pump only able to max out to 330CC injectors?
i read somehwere here on H-T that the stock 89 civic si hatchback fuel pump can only provide enough fuel to power 330cc injectors, I.e, it cannot use the full 450 cc injectors to the fullest potential . is this true ??

Re: stock EF fuel pump only able to max out to 330CC injectors? (project dc2)
Dunno about all that. I ran 10psi on 450cc injectors for the longest time. Never had a problem out of my stock HF pump, untill the intank strainer got clogged up. I just played it safe and swapped in a spare 94+ 'teg pump I had laying around at that point......Though I doubt the flow rates are that different between the 2.
As long as you're keeping the fuel pressures low, the stock pump can provide enough fuel for around 375hp @ 40psi of rail pressure...That assuming you're using a standalone and not an FMU setup. If you're using an FMU setup go ahead and drop in a highflow/pressure intank pump or add an external pump to your existing setup.

WHAT???!!!
So I have a 89 DX. Will that fuel pump work with 450cc injectors and VAFC.? No FMU
Anybody else can confirm this?

The stock pump is fine. As long as it is in good working condition of course.
Just keep the pressure around 40psi.

Re: stock EF fuel pump only able to max out to 330CC injectors? (Bryson)
So, I've always read:
255lph for XXX amount of HP.
190lph for XXX amout of HP, etc.
Doing a search, d series motors are supposed to put out only 79lph (yes? no?).
So IS the stock d series fuel pump still sufficient at 40psi of fuel pressure with an AFC and 450cc injectors.
It would be nice to use the stock fuel pump and avoid the hum of the in-line I have.
