stock b20 (searched)
what would be a reliable boost stting for a stock b20?ive searched but didnt come up with anything.my worry is cracking the stock sleeves.ive heard horror stories of guys that crack them but some say they will last as long as you dont put too much boost or rev t too high(b20vtec).i dont plan on doing a vtec head either

Re: stock b20 (searched)
I think everyone is going to say it's dependant on the tune. A friend of mine has been running a 60 trim on his b20 for 2.5 years now, it's his DD and he's running 12psi. The only modification he did to it was arp headstuds, ls cams, and arp headstuds. he has the b20b, not the b20Z.

this would be a dd in a crx so im not looking for alot of power.no more than 250 but id be ok with less.would the ls cams be better for boost on a non vtec or would i be able to use gsr cams?arp headstuds will be installed but other than that maybe a set of cams.

Re: stock b20 (searched)
You can't use vtec cams in a non vtec engine. use the ls rods if you go with a b20b, B20z cams are identical to LS(b18b) cams and is the reason why the b20z has more hp than b20b. you should be able to run 250whp all day, make sure you have a good tune. I'm pretty sure my buddy is making more than 250whp with a .60trim turbo on 12psi. i'd say he's closer to 300whp. I haven't seen a dyno tho.
