stock b18c connecting rod limits?
i searched and found nothing so.....
i have a usdm b18c block and a b16a head wid skunk 2 inake manifold, any ways I ran it turboed for a while untuned and gay home made boost controller broke the rings lands for me, so now its got srp forged pistons in it but oem rods. rpm asside, assuming oem redline rather, what is the limit on these stock rods, according to cork bells book, if i dont over rev it, they should be fine, just wondering what the limit was...

generally it is stated to keep it under 300whp on stock rods. There are always exception to everything, but keep it safe and keep it under 300.

Team D1 on their hatch this past CMI ran 10.9 with stock gsr block. you might want to ask them. I am sure he is putting down at least 450whp to hit 10.9 . IMO if you have the funds. go ahead and experiment. for me. I am a poor dude. so it would take me longer to save up for billet rods.

i dont know why ppl say 300hp...its tq that kills bottom ends and hondas have very light internals that are made to spin.
I say 200-225 foot pounds is a safe limit (225ft/lbs @ 8000 = 342hp)

i feel your pistons/rings will suffer well before your rods give in...
but pretty much same # under 350whp should be ok if tuned

Re: stock b18c connecting rod limits? (12SEC CIV)
i doubt if tq is the limiting factor that 225 ish is the limit, heck i personally know of a complete stock block ls making 250 tq, for evar on hondata.... and assumabley theyd give out b4 gsr rods.
personally id like a high 200's tq like 275 tq, and maybe 300 - 400 hp
who knows
