Stock B16 tuned via Crome, results + question for Crome users..
So I wrapped up a buddy's car today, stock USDM B16 in a hatch. Stock motor from top to bottom, Blox mani, T3/T04E 50-trim, 2.5" DP, 3" exahust, 550's and Crome. Made some decent numbers at 282whp / 195wtq @ 10-11psi (silly MBC).
Now this has been one of the smoothest tunes ever, bless John Cui for the lovley little gizmo he gave us in Crome, but I had a weird thing happen to me at the dyno and I was wondering if perhaps anybody esle encountered it. During the early stages on the tune, I wanted to disable VTEC and do some lo-cam only pulls, yet I found that raising the cross-over to some unusually high number like 7000+, VTEC would still come on at 5600 on the pull! I repeated this like 2 or 3 times and verified the cross-over on the map.. no idea? It wasn't untill I just disabled VTEC altogether that it would finally remain on the low cam for the duration of the run. So has anybody esle experienced anything along these lines before cause this one had me scratching my head

never had that problem except when there is still a vafc in the car. i hate those things. end up having to change the vafc to the same vtec point set in the tuning software to be able to make those types of pulls.

That I can understand, but there's no AFC in the picture here.

I'll give that a shot thanks!
I just thought it was weird that if I change the cross over around, up or down a few hundred rpm, it would work fine, but when I set it over 7k it just refused to move! Weird stuff
