Like I said, wheel hop will snap any axle... If you baby it off the line, im sure it will be fine.... but if you launch hard, they will snap like twigs
what track are you going to? I wasnt aware of anything opening this early in the season... well in upstate at least

i think a quafe would be a better drive train upgrade it would even out the power so that one axle wouldn't be getting all the force of the launch and it would help you 60ft then after if you need then get the axles.

Courtney (UglyAssCivic) has over 70 passes on his stock axles. He makes 680whp, and has run a best time of 10.34 @ 140.
Bryson is right, its all in the launch and driving style.

So would I be correct in saying that poly motor mounts would help aid in adding life to your stock axles? I dont get any wheel hop after adding the motor mount inserts. Sure the car vibrates like an earthquake for the first 1000 miles.......

Did you read my post above? He was running 25s and didnt break anything. Its all in the launch. There is a number of people on this board running low 10s with stock axles.

When an axle snaps what parts could it possibly take with it. I have extra axles so its ok if i snap axles but should i build a cage?

Most of the honda axles that I've seen snap, either blow up the outer CV or the shaft it self.
If the shaft breaks, you could take out suspension parts...but it depends where it breaks. If the outer CV goes, it shouldn't hurt anything. However, I've seen the inner CV go at 70mph and the bearings just killed the inside of the wheel.
I think Liams statement should be good enough for most people...

Re: (Irishweird00)
Here's a question.. if you arent launching and just everyday driving with 300-400whp... would someone be fine? Another thing... wouldnt stronger axles then mean that you would break something in the tranny? Ide rather break axles than trannies!
