stealth civic wants a color matched intercooler, is it posible?
i'm going completely stealth with my Civic and I want to get my intercooler colored black. I would think painting or powdercoating would be impossible, but i see logos painted on intercoolers all the time. I was thinking maybe anodizing? Any thoughts

I know this has been discussed alot already, but here ya go anyway:
Thick paint or powder coating is bad. Anodizing is fine. Just lightly spray the front of the intercooler to hide it a little bit and you won't hurt cooling too much.

When you paint it, spray at an angle. You want to do this so you don't coat the fins inside the core as it could affect the heat exchange. Just try to get the very edge of the fins. Do this, and you'll be good to go!

I suggest getting it anodized. Even though it'll cost more, it won't have much, if any affect on heat flow, and will be much more durable than a paint coating.

i go to art school and the furniture design, industrial design, or jewelry dept have anodizing equipment. ahhhh the benefits of being in art & design school.
