Default stay t3/t4e and boost 20-25 psi or go sc61?

Howdy fellas...

i'm running 13lbs of boost on a stock ls motor right now, 440cc's...duty cycle is up there, 90% ish +/- 3%...

anyway, i'm just trying to decide if i should stick with my current 57 trim .60 comp, .63 exh t3/t4e or step upto a precision sc61...if i were to step up, i'd want to pick up a full race street manifold as well...right now im using all max rev components...

i guess my real question is, do you guys thing 20-25psi on the t3/t4 is going to be inefficient? i've forgotten how to plot points on a compressor map ....i'd be stepping up to 750cc injectors and run 110 octane ...

Along with the bigger injectors and race fuel will you also be upgrading your internals? Also 20-25psi on the t3/t04e IMHO would not do bad but the sc61 will do alot better at that PSI. But more importantly INTERNAL work is a must.

oh yeah built bottom is a given..i was looking into this setup...

i dont really mind that much if the t3/t4 will be less efficient, as long as i can make some power at that amount of boost i'll be pleased...for now

t3/t4e 57 is 80% efficient up until about 21-22psi

Stay with the 57 trim. My favorite turbo of all time.

The SC61 utilizes the Garret GT40 compressor map. Its probably one of the nicest compressor maps in terms of efficiency for such a large compressor. If I were to purchase another turbo for my set-up, this would be the one to buy. You'll find a huge increase in power, and overall efficiency from the turbo by making the switch.

BTW, the 57 trim is NOT 80% efficient up till 20lb range. None of the older to4e trims are over 78% efficient, only the newer GT series can claim 80% efficiency. The 57 trim will fall on its face around 18-20lbs, where it will take a nose dive and drop in efficiency and blow hot air.

1 thing I've come to learn is that don't fu*k with BH's knowledge of Turbo efficiency...

I say go for it. This is the exact change I made. 57 trim and maxrev over to sc61 and Full-Race.
Im hoping to attend a dyno day on the 21st. Hopefully my car will finally be ready for it ---fingers crossed on both hands and even the big toes crossed on my feet.
Im hoping for atleast 425 on stock LS cams. Dont know if it'll happen, but.........stay tuned!
