Default stay d16 turbo or go b18b turbo???

i have just recently purchased a the one-fab setup for my y8 but im reconsidering turbo the d and just swaping the b18b in there and changing the exhaust flange on the mani to fitt the ls. the reason im reconsidering is because i just put a ls in my bro eg and threw a turbo on it and its quick as hell and i doubt my d going to keep up with it even though i got a better turbo setup than he does he's just got the greddy kit. just looking for some opinions

build the single cam and boost the **** out of it, or buy the b18b and get more torque, but you would have to build either one to meet those power goals.

dont try and do 380 on a built d. you are going to have constant issues.

You will definitely have more power potential with a B-series....not dissing turbo'd D-series by the way.

If the manifold is brand new in the box why not ask if you can exchange it.

Considering those manifolds are made off of a jig and not some wild thing where every piece is hand cut, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't mind exchanging it. You send your manifold back, they build another B-series manifold. Next person to order a D-series manifold gets your manifold. Presto.

I'm a D series lover, but if I wasn't afraid of my car getting stolen I would probably swap it in a second.

you can use the d-series manny if you want. just get a b-series gaseket and port out a little and you'll have to slot a mounting hole or two. i've seen it done and it works.
