Icon2 Starting to build my D16. Need some advice.

Be gentle please. I've been doing a ton of reading but I'd still like some user opinions. As the title says I'm starting to build my D16 and its going to be turbocharged. I'm going for a goal of 450hp or more. Whatever I can get out of this thing the better. I'm having a really hard time choosing a turbo. I'm mainly leaning towards the Turbonetics TO4E-60 / F1-62 .63 A/R. I'm not really sure how this would perform with my engine though so I'm hoping you guys can give me some insight on that.

This is what I've gathered so far:
76mm Vitara Pistons with connecting rods from fjdistributors (bore may not be worth it but whats done is done)
All Skunk2 valvetrain
Walbro 225lph fuel pump
Hondata engine management
RC Autoworks Ramhorn Manifold (any thoughts on this manifold?)
Undecided on the intercooler. Any suggestions?
Need a recommendation for injectors as well.

Theres still a ton of other things I need to get. Mainly I just wanted to get some opinions on the turbo. Thanks for the help.

i'd look into a different turbo, probably 880cc injectors, maybe 750's. or even ID 1000's.

as for the turbo, i had nothing but problems with my turbonetics unit. 450 is obtainable easily with a t3 frame. just my .02

wow 450. u will need to look into trans work like a lsd and clutch. motor mounts unless u want to replace ur stockies after u break them. u can try supertech valvtrain they are a bit cheaper i think. a intercooler is a intercooler so its no sweat on that bro. but do some research on a big turbo with vitara pistons. they have low compression and u need power to push a big turbo unless its ball bearing or something. i have wiseco pistons and they hold up alright so far. but keep on track bud. things look good and good luck with the build

Thanks for the reply guys. The transmission will definitely get a rework. I've read good things about Vitara pistons(stable builds +400hp) but I may decide to go with better aftermarket brand later on. So is the size about right but you were just steering me away from Turbonetics? If I go with another brand it will probably be Garrett and it will definitely be a ball bearing unit. The variety is just so overwhelming.
