Default started my crx turbo today and....

i reset the ECU as ive made a few changes and cleaned out the throttle bodie with some carb cleaner. Now my car seems to hovver inbetween 1500rpm and 1900rpm. I know this idle is high but just wondered why it is hovering, its like its gonna cut out then comes back in all of a sudden? Ive reset the ECU again and again but cant get rid of it. The only way i can get rid of it is to set the idle to about 2000rpm constantly which is not good...
anyone got any suggestions? the car is a d16a9 euro spec engine with T25 turbo, 450DSM's, SAFC hack (set to -36 on everything), stock fuel pump and B&M fuel pressure regulator.
thanks in advance

make sure your throttle cable isnt sticking? happened to me once, the cable was worn and nasty and was always sticking open a tiny tiny bit. hmm, im not sure whether the DME operates on a closed or open loop at idle on a honda, so i dont think ill be much help.

thanks for the advice mate, can anyone else elaborate on this? Im guessing i could of gone a little mad with the carb cleaner and it could of blasted away a bit of the grease on the throttle and hense sticking. I'll get some grease on there....

can anyone tell me about open/closed loop? ive heard this mentioned quite a bit...

thanks

check for any vacum leaks, I had a similar problem with one of my cars. I would double and triple check all the vacum lines going to the intake...

Does it bounce around in those RPMS? Mine did, I kept setting the TPS and reseting the ECU till it stopped. Good Luck
