Default Stage 1 complete. Block broken down and ready for build up. (PICS inside)

Got this block REAL cheap. Its from a GS-R with very low miles. Spun a bearing.
Here are the pics of breaking it down to bare bones. Sending it to Golden Eagle very soon for re-sleeving and balancing.

theres me...and i did it all with my trust craftsman wrench..lol

the crank and pistons. Does anyone know why the bearings have different colors on them? I know you order the bearings as too what color they are, but why not just have all universal bearings? They all "look" the same.

all the nuts and bolts.

nice! hehehe

Now I have to find a head for this beast.

Art: Im on my way! lol...

I think Honda does the bearing like that for balancing purposes. Im not sure, but that looks like a good answer. lol

yeah, i was just told from this same thread in the ITR forum about the colors by D
:bearing shells are different thicknesses (hence the colors), you use different sized bearing shells to get the correct clearance on your journals.

Thats my friend with the no socks on...I was wearing socks

you really need to pick up a Helms manual. I dont wanna hear about this motor going back together without that.
