srt-4 turbo on my gsr
iv done a few B series turbo builds now and i recently picked up a 93 ex coupe with a gsr swap.
I can pick up a stock srt turbo for 25 bucks off this kid that lives around here
My question is has anyone ever used an srt turbo on a honda?
if so what is a good manifold to go with?
I know the turbos are good for 15-19 psi and very small so they would spool up pretty quickly. Thanks guys

Yeah, you're not using that turbo...the turbine is integrated into the manifold

techincally you can use it but it won't be pretty. My first turbo'd civic was a d16a6 with a srt4 turbo cut from the manifold, then welded to a stock d series exhaust manifold. It was super gross looking but the car actually ran really well for what it was and it spooled really quikly as well

You do realize that the turbo itself is only a small portion of the setup, right? So even if you find a cheap turbo, there are still many other parts to accumulate...most of them aren't cheap either. Since its going to cost $2k+ for a decent setup, you may as well spend a bit more and get something worthwhile. Dont bother with OEM turbos (with the one exception of the Evo 16g).

yea with the turbine integrated into the manifold it won't work. cutting and welding is spotty at best because you're welding cast metal to cast metal. any welder will tell you that it isn't fun and if done improperly, the weld will. fail.
take Schister66s advice, the EVO 8-9 16g is a great turbo but requires a custom manifold (odd twin scroll flange) but people on here make them
PS Schuster, PMd you ;-)
