Default spool time w/big turbo and small motor??

i know the t3/t4 isnt all that big ,but im going to be putting it on my d16y8 within the next month. and everybody around here says that im going with to big of a turbo and my lagg is going to be crazy. ive done some research and found that smaller chargepipe rather than big with help spool up faster with a 3" downpipe.
so my piping goes as is: 2" from turbo to intercooler,2.25 from intercooler to throttlebody and 3" downpipe threw a high flow cat back into 3" piping out my apexi n1 exhaust. dont know if this helps but i got the skunk2 intake manifold match up perfectly with the si throttle body. so based on experience or you know a friend with one am i going with tooo big of turbo and what will the spool up time be????whatch yall think

i have t3/4 50 trim, on a d16y8 with 8.5.1 comp.
3inch turbo back. 2.5 inch interocoler piping.

starting seeing boost ~4000

nothing wrong with that turbo at all.

dont lison to people unless they have it on there car.

platinum.

I run a 50 trim as well with a .63 ar on teh exhaust. See full boost of 15 psi around 4500rpm. 2.5 inch DP and 3 inch exhaust. I also have an equal length manifold which helps spool time. for a street car, thats about all the lag I can take, anymore would just be too much for my own tastes on a D16.

Also, if you advance the exhaust cam between two & four degrees you'll get quick spool up and better response. Just be cautious when you tune your car
