spark plugs in 8 heat range for hondas?
does anyone know any manufacturer part number for a plug in the 8 heat range? i have a 00 si and the stock plug heat is a 6...so i'm trying to run 2 steps colder. i used ngk bkr7e's at the track last weekend and when i pulled them, the ground electrode was half disintegrated and the center electrode insulator was broken...the result of detonation. thanks

interesting because the sparkplugs.com partsfinder says the the bkr7e does have a resistor while the r5672a-8 does not. have you run these plugs?

yes, and we've also used these in the 9 heat range. NGK just came out with the iridiums in 9 heat range too....

these are non-project tips, electrode sits inside plug housing. if you want something similar to bkr7e but in range 8 then its the ngk 7173 (also V power electrode copper)

I run BKR7E's ...lots of boost, nitrous, and lots of timing. (VW though)
Here's my writeup on them: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1138834
