someone tell me about this turbo!
the guy i bought it off of (ebay) said that the turbine was from a 300zx and the compressor was from a saab 900. i have to get a custom downpipe flange made cuz nothing fits. is this what my turbo is, or is it something different. he said the a/r was .63... is all of this bullshit? i'm just looking online and i'm seeing these 300z downpipes that dont look anything like that wierd *** flange....

okay stop ******* talking about the carpeting. it was funny the first 5 thousand posts. i really need to find out if this turbo is legit.
does that look like a 300z turbine?
and where can i get a flange for the downpipe that wuld fit? 5 bolt DOES NOT fit!
every time i ask a turbo question the only thing anyone ever comments on is the carpeting!

I guess that means nobody knows! Get a magnifying glass and try to pick up the clues Sherlock!
If worst comes to worst get some like 1/2" thick steel plate and use a sabre saw to make your own flange. I've never seen that one before.

Make a paper copy of the flange and find a machine shop that does waterjet cutting and have a flange made. As for the specs, you can't tell anything by the pics.

that is a saab comp housing for sure and to be honest it really does look like a 300 zx exhaust housing from the earlier models, easy was to tell is go back to e aby and find someone auctioning a 300 zx turbo and then compare, but it looks like one to me,i had both at one point,i still have the saab turbo.here you go,i just found one for ya.

That's a T3 exhuast side for sure. You're missing the flange that the downpipe would bolt to. Check:
http://www.roadraceengineering.com/f...andgaskets.htm
The second flange from the bottom is what you'll need if you're going to run an external wastegate. If you're running internal you'll have to get one off of someone. The intake side is harder to figure out, but I'm guessing it'd be a t3 also. I doubt someone would lie about a more expensive part (t04e) and say it's a cheaper part (t3) if they were selling/giving it away. Just wouldn't make sense.
Good luck,
Ryan P.
*nevermind on the intake part...I just re-read your post and saw that it's from a Saab...no clue about that*

It's not a standard T3 flange, that's his problem. He said the 5 bolt flange does not bolt up.
