Somebody clarify this for me.. (wideband aux.)

We all know that the Innovative WB needs the auxillary cable to be able to log RPM. The cable itself is listed at $99, but then just below it I see the inductive pickup labled "For use with aux. rpm cable". Is this pickup REQUIRED to log rpm or is there another method? I know it's only another $20 but I wanna be sure about it.

I think the inductive pickup is mainly for temporary installs(ie-shops, etc.)...pretty sure all thats needed to log is the $99 cable #2...you just run stock RPM signal to converter box to the LM1
