Default Some kind of small amount of hestation when full boost

Guys,

I get a small amount of hestation when i hit boost at around 5,500-6,000. At 3,000 to 4,500 and 7,000 to 8,000 rpm its fine. I get some backfiring action when it happened it kind of felt like i was 2 stepping or something. Could this be detenation? It happens when i drive with the cutout closed then i open the cutout and hit 10 psi... My car is tuned with hondata and all the goods, but stock b18c1 motor the air fuel ratio looked good it stayed rich when i was in boost. This is the first time it ever happened. i was testing things out before i went to the track and now im scared...could it be that my engine was still a little cold? i let it idle for like 3 mins then cruised around till i saw the temp gauge at around 1/4.....

maybe try narrowing the gap of your plugs just a little? could it be the spark getting blown out?

yea i think it could be the spark plug gap...since im running msd 6al i thought i could run a 35-36 sparkplug gap...do you think i should run a 32-33 gap?

Eh it shouldn't make much of a difference if the gap is only like 3-5 mm more. But that's my opinion.

Hey there's a real easy way to find out if it's your gap. Gap 'em closer and go for a spin. If there is misfire still, gap 'em even closer till it goes away. Basically, you want to run the biggest gap possible before misfire sets in.

yea that sounds like a better idea....does the bigger gap have better performance in the long run?
