Some information about GM 3bar and connnector install for Hondata
None of this is necessary, however, i wanted everything to be literaly plug-n-play without messing with original harness.
parts needed: 1. gm sensor: gm part number: 12223861, ac delco part number: 213-1562 2. gm sensor connector: gm part number: 15305891, ac delco part number: pt1035 3. 92-2000 honda civic map sensor or 3rd gen integra (some if not all of 2nd gen integras) map sensor, possibly some models of accord or other hondas, - it must be the same type of connector as you have on your car. no pics of install or assembly.. but concept is pretty simple, basically you use that map sensor to make a connector (if you're not good at soldering, then get somebody who knows how to), end result you have a plug-n-play harness, and switching between factory and 3bar map sensor is easier than ever here are the pics: http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...f/f1619351.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...f/f16194b4.jpg from http://www.hondata.com/tech3barmap.html connect for B series as follows: letters (A) (B) (C) can be found on gm map sensor or connector GND (A) connects to Green/White on factory harness MAP signal (B) connects to White on factory harness 5V (C) connects to Yellow/Red on factory harness |
Re: Some information about GM 3bar and connnector install for Hondata (vtec.dc2)
Thats a good idea, but I like keeping the stock MAP sensor hooked up with the wires run back behind the IM so it looks like its being used, but actually having the 3bar wired up and hidden so everyone doesnt see it, and they assume you cant have over 11psi https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif
