Sold the Gs-R, look what i got now!!
i just got a 92 hatch cx
just like 1,000,000 other people on this board
anyways now i'm stuck, i returned my drag kit for my gs-r, for store credit of course, until i drop an engine in my hatch. now hears my problem.....
i need an engine!! i am positive that i'm going turbo, my goal is 400 whp.
i can either get....
1. gsr full swap w/rods and pistons boost around 12-16 psi
2. ls full swap w/rods pistons and SLEAVED!! for 16-???psi
with my overall setup i can get the ls for cheaper but is 400 HP possiable with an LS with a FULLY built block, i know many gsr's have made this power BUT HOW MANY TURBO LS HAVE MADE THIS MUCH POWER????
so i want your replys ls or gsr??

power is power
i really don't care if it makes a cool noise @ 5000 rpm
if you guys had a choice to put in your hatch what would it be??
gs-r with eagle rods and je pistons or ls sleaved with eagle and je's?
i will be able to boost more on the ls but will it make up for the more power per pound of boost the gs-r will get?
thanks for the reply need some more!
give me some dyno sheets of some high boost LS's!!!
and i don't wanna hear about LSVTEC aka timebomb waiting to explode!

you won't get a better deal than 2k_teg hes a good guy and it will cost you more than you will pay for his engine to build your own and also the downtime involved.

I'd definitely go with the LS. Sleeved to 84.5mm and you have basically a B20 block. Then build that thing to all hell and boost like crazy. In a hatch, you'd be unstoppable.

Hey I may be interested in that purchase. I am going to have to check out my funds though. I was debating on doing a B20 notec though instead but yours seems to good to pass up. Adn troubles with the motor? miles on that set-up after being completed?
