Don't go past the stock 7200 until you upgrade valvetrain.
Edit: I see in your sig now. Spin up to 8k at least, if you got a cam to handle it.

I have a Gude turbo spec cam and it seems to still be building massive amounts of power even at redline. I need to get rid of that pesky redline.

With the .63a/r that i am using for my project z6 the redline will be 8200rpm. The valvetrain is upgraded to handle the higher redline, as well as balancing the reciprocating mass to damper out oscillations. Pick your redline based upon your exhaust housing size if you are geared more for street driving, or pick your redline based upon your desired trap speeds if you are geared more for 1/4 mile. The .48a/r housing the 7200 redline is the best choice, the since the 7000 rpm range is where the exhaust housing will limit peak power output. The .63a/r the redline is 8000rpm, and the .82a/r rpm the redline is 9000rpm.
