I will go take some pictures of my head gasket if I can find it. I'm not sure what "markings from movement" look like though lol.

yeah I dont think that the problem is your block... a wrapped head doesnt help that much loll https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif |
Re: SOHC VTEC HEAD LIFTING.... (beerbongskickass)
Since I've been through a few, I can tell you. When you pop a HG do to poor tune or det, you will see only a small spot where the gasket blows out. It my other cases, a big portion on the gasket was lightly scraped away, making me think the sleeves were slight shifting, or the block was twisting. Almost 25% of the cylinder circle in the HG was roughed up, but not chunks were taken out..

https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif thats what im trying to explain... : the sleeves are walking under boost or high load. Damn its not easy for a french guy to explain all that stuff loll !! https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif </TD></TR></TABLE> In that quote, Jeff is speaking about the actual D Series aluminum block casting not being torsionally as strong as the B Series. Sleeving the block is not going to help solve this issue. This is also only a theory of his anyways. No acutal proof of this yet. |

i have seen several blown gaskets, some look different then others. what im talking about, is scatches like something moved. dont know if it was the block or the head. but something moved under load.. platinum. |

Re: (green91)
my head wasnt warped at all today when i took it in , very wierd , it was resurfaced anyway to get a clean surface for the headgasket. but i found that so wierd....
