Default SOHC VTEC DIY Turbo setup, need help!

Okay.. I need help from the greats of turbo knowledge. I've been reading a lot about turbos, but I still feel I'm VERY novice on the subject. I'm starting to build my own turbo kit for my SOHC VTEC powered CRX. here's the setup:

OBD1 1988 Honda CRX Si
d16z6 longblock with d16a6 pistons (.020 overbored, moly rings) overall comp ~10:1. ARP headstuds hold the head onto the block
Shotpeened rods, balanced bottom end. ZC tranny with exedy clutch, 13 pound flywheel, custom built raxles. I'm running a chipped p28 and my car is Referee certified (weeh) and the setup was broken in properly for 1k, and has about 5k miles on it total now. rebuilt completely, like a brand new engine.

Okay.. here's what I'm trying to build: a relatively cheap, reliable turbo setup that spools fast and can boost between 8-10 psi. I'm planning on boosting about 8 psi daily driven and about 10 psi at the track.

What kind of setup I'm leaning towards:
V-AFC hack, 450cc DSM injectors, Upgraded Fuel pump for fuel management.
Upgraded Fuel Rail and AFPR
14b turbo, on HF manifold (is this a direct bolt on or will I need adaptor plate?)
Starion or similar FMIC, and custom charge pipes.
Greddy BOV. Greddy Turbo Timer, Greddy boost controller

I've been told that running 8psi of boost on 450 injectors with V-AFC hack may be dangerous, because the ECU is going to try to advance the timing at -40%. Has anyone ran a similar setup? and what should I do? Will my bottom end hold out for long with 8-10psi? Down the road I'm planning to build a block with forged internals for a little more boost and more reliability. Any help and imput would be appreciated! thanks for your help DevldEG!

Someone on the Turbod16 forum runs 11psi on the V-AFC hack so I think over 8 would be ok, I think I remember recalling that it works good up to 15psi

Get rid of the chip if it's an NA program. The timing will not be as safe as stock. I run 9psi on my stock 130K d16z6. I beat on the car all the time about 4000 miles a month. no problems yet.
My turbo is only slightly smaller than yours so i bet my t25s 9 will be like a 14bs 8. It's really just the power your making not the psi. You would make a ton more power with a big t3 or t3/t4 at 8psi. You'll have fun with it in a crx, i bet it could run high 13s no problem

How about a Hondata-200
You can use your stock fuel rail
The VAFC isn't needed.

10-1 compression brought about by cast pistons+boost=a dire need for hondata

Use the AFC hack and get a wide band O2. Keep the factory fuel rail, but get an aftermarket AFPR.

I run 13psi untuned, but I have low compression.... Using a TD04L-13T from a WRX ( generally the same size as a T-25 ).

My WRX turbo don't fall off "uptop" at all... And I get full boost by 3700rpms, and about 6 psi by 2500rpms... AND I have 1'' factory exhuast piping !!!

infinatenexus hondata would be nice but is out of my price range. I can get a v-afc for $200

you really dont need hondata or a v-afc. go over to ericks racing engines and have him remove your chip and rechip it with a turbo program. he adds fuel and takes out timing under vtec. this lets you run stock timing on your dist.= no burned exhaust valves and great streetability.
