Here are the specs on the car right now (d16y7):

-75.5 Vitaras/FJ custom length rods
-Supertech valvetrain (valves, springs, Ti retainers)
-Bisi 1.2 cam + AEM Tru-Time cam gear
-Bullseye 57 trim T3/T04E journal bearing

I noticed that my torque is falling off HARD with the Bisi 1.2 cam. I was thinking of going with the Delta 272-2 regrind because of the price and because I hear it's very close to the Bisi 2.4 cam.

Would this be a good cam for my application? I'm having a hard time tracking down dyno plots for this cam unfortunately but I have heard great things about it.

Also, I am thinking of picking up a new cam gear also. Has anyone come out with a correctly indexed y7/y8 cam gear that does not need to be advanced 4.75 degrees?

Try Brian Crower. They offer turbo cams that have a small overlap which is good for FI, the stages go up to 4 on some I believe. They're solid quality

I would highly recommend for you to degree your camshaft in properly to insure proper timing. Even with your current setup the Bisimoto Level 1.2 would do very well. If you are looking to upgrade to a Level 2.4, hit me up and I will hook you up.

I'll definitely check them out, thanks for the heads up. Do you have any links handy with specs? I'll try digging around on google as well.

Thanks for the reply, the cam was degreed and cam timing was adjusted during the dyno tuning sessions and unfortunately we ran into torque falling off again and again. It could also be due to the fact I never recieved a cam card with the regrind.

Please PM me your best price on the 2.4 camshaft, I will definitely consider it if you include a cam card with the purchase.

I guess you have never ordered a camshaft from our facility. Every Bisimoto camshaft leaves our facility with a camshaft card, which includes lift, duration, opening closing numbers and valve lash numbers.

It's hard/almost pointless to degree a single camshaft.. all you can do is verify that opening and closing happens when it's supposed to re: the cam card.
