SOHC 374 wheel power@23lbs of boost
Endyn built the motor and I did everything else.
http://www.clanxvi.com/oscarmayer/car/car.htm
This was tuned by Jason (St00p1d) when he came to Ft.Worth a few weeks ago. I am running an SC-61 (selling because it's just to big for my motor Http://hondamarketplace.com/zerothread?id=1398683 ) fully build motor 78mm bore. Click to my sites to see all the details. I still need finaly pics of the car and all, but that's just finishings.
I forgot to add we stopped tuning at that point because we had an ignition issue. it was fircracking at higher rpms. i have since fixed this and it feels even better now. That was untuned at that high boost run. We made 2 of those and decided to quit for the time beign till ignition issue was resolved. Now i'm going to have to retune due to turbo changing.

Re: SOHC 374 wheel power@23lbs of boost (SOHC_MShue)
it's the firecracking issues we were having. no spiking, The lower spots were actually dips and it makes it look liek there are spikes when the opposite is true. That's why I showed the rpm ranges. the low spots is where we had the poping.
I have resolved this issue, so next tunning with the new turbo should be fine.
I'm getting the NEW BB SC-50 turbo. It will have a BB center housing but is an SC-50 turbo so it shoudl start boosting well about 4k instead of 5500.

The stock oil pumps have a lip on them, and this causes some oil volocity loss. Endyn did the work, they not only smoothed it out, but also ported it out to flow more and flow at a higher pressure. I can see upwards of 100 psi under boosting, that's is great because it makes sure everything is properly getting oiled.
for mor einfo, contact endyn directly
http://www.theoldone.com They can modify a new stocker for any honda for about $140 and if you need them to purchase the pump as well they run about $134 I think. But I may be wrong. they can gie you all the more accurate info than I can.

Re: (oscarmayer)
Will Endyn sell a breather kit with those fittings that you have? My idea for crankcase ventilation was pretty much identical to what is done to your block, I'm just interested on what the fittings look like on the inside part.
Nice numbers. Was that on pump gas?

Re: (daveG)
Yes they sell the kits with the fittings. kits are 100% complete with everything you need to install the breathers in your car. you jsut need to specify what engien you have. On a B I think you will need to putty/silicone one of the adapters in the block, but that's it. ("think")
Run was on c12 and 1 of 2 runs jsut for baseline to get a tune running. since it firecrackered so much we enver race fuel tuned it only pump tune. pump was about the same as this excpet at 20psi when tuned.

Sounds good. I have a D16Y8 that I've been working on for about the same time as you, SC50 powered hopefully going to be tuning it soon.

what was the problem with the ingition? I get someting similar at high rpms also. It feels like a rev limiter almost. Sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesn't.

start replacing stuff in your ignition system. Maybe try a friend's distributor. Also what is your plug gap at? We had this problem in a friend's car recently running 20psi on a ls. At first it would break up real bad up top and sound like a machine gun. He replaced the plug wires and it fixed the problem unless he ran it for a while and then it would come back. Then he took apart the distributor and found a few wires that had been burnt up or just weren't connected well because they had been hacked apart before. After redoing those wires it fixed the problems. It could be anything with your ignition system really.

Re: SOHC 374 wheel power@23lbs of boost (jason190)
Ignition coil was over 4 yrs old.
I replaced it with a MSD blaster SS and issues was resolved (tested this by gapping plugs to .010 and everything smoothed out)

Congrats
I read through your site. Looks like you put a lot of hard work, time, and money into this project
Nice numbers, but as soon as I saw it was an SC-61 I knew it would be too big for that engine. I've seen only a handful of d-series engines with that turbo and none of them say it's usable power because the turbo is so large.
