The noise?

I think 3.5" is a bit more sane and easy to fit. I think 3.5" would be worth a solid 15-20 WHP on a 400 WHP car vs. 3".

Where'd you get the 15-20 WHP figures from? Show me some mathematical equations!

so making more power out of your turbo setup is a bandwagon now? It only makes sense, i've never heard of anyone losing power by going with a bigger dp/exhaust on a turbo setup. Obviously its overkill on a 350-400ish and less hp motors by why wouldn't the higher hp guys do it?

3.5 is a alward size, from what i know/see parts are more avial. for 4' ie. flex, flanges,etc....

its kinda like the wheel craze, there were 20-22's, then 23's, then 24's/
no yuu dont even see 21' or 23' wheels it seems

The turbo spinning is a matter of pressure differences on each side fo the wheel.

Aside from calling it a craze, which it is, it is a performance upgrade.

It gets overkill on most cars though. It would help in building boost more quickly, something that most people shouldn't have a problem with in their daily driver. A 3" DP is more than sufficient for 90% fo the people out there.

You just don't stand out any more when you roll up in the K-Mart parking lot on Saturday night with a 3" exhaust.

I was thinking of custom welding a bunch of maxwell house coffee cans together to make like an 8" downpipe and exhaust. 8" sectioned bends own you.
