So I finally got home and did a compression and leakdown test...
Well, I returned home this weekend for the first time in three weeks after havign my car not running.
The compression test yielded the following numbers:
cyl 1: 220
cyl 2: 150
cyl 3: 220
cyl 4: 0
Then I did a leakdown test...I made sure the cylinders were at TDC when I performed the test...on the fourth cylinder, the air was rushing out of the exhaust. Looks like I will be replacing the exhaust valves on that cylinder. On the second cylinder, the air was hissing somewhere, kinda sounded like exhaust...and when I tapped the exhaust valves with an extension and a mallet, it was apparent that was the source.
My question is...how likely is it that I will need to replace anything in the block? The air didnt leak anywhere but the exhaust...
Given say...500-750 bucks what are my options for the head?
Thanks in advance, awaiting your responses...
Sebastian

im not sure but aparently they fucked his up some how and had to buy him a new head and start over...I dont know exactly what the story is, and I am seriously starting to disbelieve that all this bad stuff could have happened to him on a simple motor swap...
