so i changed my spark plugs.. .
so i changed my spark plugs today, and put in some bkr7e's ..
the ones i took out were ngk iridium 5's, with a .042 gap, i am no running bkr7e's with a .032 gap
can't really tell a difference yet.. . but sometimes it stuttered (misfired i think) with the 5's
is it damaging to run a 5 step spark plug?

Depends, what state do you live in, what octane do you run, what compression do you run, how much do you boost and where is your timing set at?
I also put in a set of BKR7E's today, but I'm running a .30 gap http://www.sparkplugs.com

Did you get a lot of detonation from those plugs?
In most applications that I know of. when people go FI, they usually go a step or 2 colder with their plugs. It seems as though you went a step hotter for some reason.
I would think running a 5 series with boost would make your motor detonation prone.

wich motor your talking about?
For most b series I know of, 6 is stock, and 7 is one step colder.

i am running 7's now
i said i had 5's.. anyhow, it would seem to misfire when the air is cool (nighttime)

I thought it was ZFR5F-11 is stock on the Y8. At least it was on my wifes 98 EX.
