smoking turbo on a b18b?
Ok there is this white smoke that comes from my turbo. My oil return was really small and i had all of it replaced with 1/2" s/s and 1/2" fittings. When the small one was taken off it had oil in it that had burned up and dried and was just sitting there clogging it...so now it's fixed...but it still smokes...i dont have a clue what it could be...seal? any ideas? thanks

seals got killed from the feed pressure when the drain clogged...think that's similar to what happened to mine

forgot to say
i took off the piping to the turbo 2 days ago and there was light grease/oil on there...cleaned it off and today 2 days later it's fine...and i took off the piping that goes into the intake manifold and no grease or oil there...
if you cleaned it off the next day you drove it would it start putting stuff back on the inside of it or does this take time?? thanks

it'll probably take a few days of smoking before you start finding residue in the charge/inducer pipe but who knows...

well if there was oil in the pipes then I would think you blew the seals.
Is this a new or used turbo? if used how many miles

If it were the seals that were bad would there only be oil in the charge pipe with no smokeing, or if it were bad seals would it smoke out the exhaust?
