Well good thing I have ls rods and vitara pistons waiting to go into my car. Should I stop driving it, or is it still driveable for now?

This is not always true. Mine smoked very little while not in boost. I also had pretty good compression numbers. But when I took the pistons out, the ringlands just fell apart like all the pics you see on HT of stock pistons.

Re: (BME1986)
Mine smokes a very small amount out of the breather. After it is warm it goes away. It might just be a little start-up blow by. Nothing to worry about. If you are really worried, do a leakdown.
