small oil cooler before the turbo?
hello every one.
will i get any benefit of installing a small oil cooler in on the turbo feed line and ill place it in a good place with a short line?

I'm sure it would make a difference, I have seen it done before. If you don't already have an oil cooler on your car for the ENGINE then its pretty stupid to add one for your turbo IMO.

if he can make it fit, get it in a good location with direct air flow, and keep the oil pressure up, then it can only do good. but does your engine create that much heat you need 2 oil coolers?

I plan to do something similar to mike1114's setup. I bought a mocal sandwich adapter with built in thermostat to run the lines.

If you run a -10AN line as a turbo feed and no restrictor, it will do wonders...for cooling.
If you run the usual 1/16" restrictor, you will be running a very small amount of oil through it. Granted that small amount will sit in the cooler and probably reach amient temps, it still a low volume of oil you are cooling.
