Default Slim A/C Fan, Room for Bigger turbo in del Sol???

Alright, i'm tired of being limited and worried about buying a turbo thats going to be too big. i just want to be able to buy a nice t3/t4 sized turbo to put in my Sol, and keep my a/c, i have an a/c compatable manifold (drag gen 3) but i'm still worried something the size of a t3/t4 .48 turbine, .60 compressor 3"inlet 2" outlet will be too big to fit in there with my a/c. I live in NC, and it gets hot as ***** here in the summer and theres no way i'm going without my a/c. I have a garrett GT17 which would be a good size, if it didn't leak oil...unlike the ebay sellers quote that it only ran for 2 hours and was like new with no shaft play. Anyhow, i'm looking to buy a precision SC32, SC34, or GT32E. Does anybody know if these will fit in a del sol with an a/c compatable manifold? If not, does anybody know of a place to buy slim line fans to replace the stock a/c fan with?? it would make this whole process SO much more easy and productive. thanks to all.

any of those t3/t4 turbo's you listed should clear the a/c granted you use an a/c compatible manifold and downpipe combo. if you're concerened about the fan clearance, i'd suggest either the slimfans or just get a pusher fan

do a pusher fan all the way...it just cleans EVERYTHING up. You can actually get your hands in the engine bay to tighten/loosen ****!

Cody...does the sidewinder require use of a slim AC fan or will the stock one work? I'm going with a pusher fan on the radiator already. And also, are you still taking orders on the sidewinder, or have you put it on hold?

Fal sells slim fans, Autozone even sells slim fans. They are like $60-70 each.

You can mount these on opposite side of rad as pusher fans like Tinker219 said.

I had to get them for my turbo to fit, its t3/t4 57 trim .60/.63 a's so its even bigger than yours. I have them mounted the normal way and there is like about an inch between fan and turbo.

mkay so like, i understand "how" the pusher fan is supposed to work. is it different in size? do i just move the stock fan to the front? do i buy a slim fan from auto zone and put it on the front? with these options interfere with my FMIC? where do i buy a pusher fan? etc etc.

i just checked auto zone, they had one fan for the condenser, and that jonk was like $129, shews... i'm just tryin to keep the a/c not upgrade it...

if you still have your a/c it'll mount infront of the condenser, and it shouldnt interfere too badly with your frontmount....hit up b18bturbo i think he still has a few 12" pusher/puller fans up for sale in the classifieds
