Default sleeve the y7 block or z6?

i have a 97 hatch which still has the y7 in it right now... but i also have a complete z6 swap... should i sleeve the y7 block or the z6 block... the whole bottom end will be built... they both have the same amount of miles on them... the only reason i wanted to sleeve the y7 block is that i cant have an older year motor than the car... but if the z6 block is better ill just sleeve that instead... so which one is better??? and which one will cause me less trouble

also if i was to use the y7 block ill be throwing the z6 head on it but what arp head stud kit would i use???

and are the y7 or z6 oil pump and timing belt the samething???

The y7 and the z6 block are the same other than the counter bore depth so you will need to use the y7 head bolts. If you use the y7 you will need the 96-2000 oil pan and oil pump because of the change in dipstick location.
Dont worry about the CKF sensor if you are OBD1.
I also wouldn't worry about sleeving unless you are planning on having over 400hp.
Spend the money on good engine management.
Good luck. Cort.

I personally think that the d16 blocks are good to 500hp with the proper tuning.
You can use the y8 or y7 pump. The timing belt will change with different heads.

I really dont know if mileage on a motor hurts the integrity of the sleeves so I cant answer that question. If you are worried about it I would just get the sleeves for peice of mind.
