Default Skunk2 stage 2's + 10.2 compression motor + 100 wet shot = ?

I posted this over in the all motor section, but would like to hear your guys input-

Hey guys ive searched a little bit, but didnt realy find what i was looking for.
I have a GSR shortblock, and am going to be putting a b16 head on it to get around 10.2 compression (10.5 with a 1 layer head gasket, but im worried about reliablity of one). I have a set of Skunk2stage2 cams that i would like to use. Is it worth even trying them, or is there simply not enough compression. I also plan on running a 100 shot on the weekends for drag racing at the track. Any insight?

It should make good power if you have the right header and intake combo. You will loose some down low but getr tuned and you should be fine, In a hatch it should be pretty quick. WIth the 100 shot it should be really quick as the cams will give you sick top end. The 100 shot should be wet and positioned appropriately as in the upper RPMS the hp will begin to fade off as the nos can't keep up with the flow. A wet kit should be good for this set up. If you tune it you should tune it with the nos so you don't blow it up later. Good luck

I do plan on runing wet, or even Direct port, as im giong to be getting a aftermarket intake manifold- Do you think i will get by with a fuel pump, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and hopefuly a good tune- Any programs you suggest to tune with nitrous?

that should be fine but you will need a chipped ecu or stand alone to get it to work good and reliably. A good clutch is also in order as the NOs is pretty harsh on the clutch. Get it tuned on the Dyno with like Crome, uberdata, AEM or hondata what ever they all do the same, just get the one your tuner uses. NOS can be safe but it is dangerously addicting.

Im planning on a stage 2 exedy with a lightend flywheel- My biggest concern is however, when im off the nitrous it wont be to quick becauseof the cams, and if i have to retard the timing alot

with those cams it should be perfectly fine for a daily driver, as long as their not the pro series cams... why not build the bottom end and throw a huge shot on it with like 11.5:1 compression, now that would be fun!!!

what do you plan on using to tune this with, their are a couple programs out there with seperate maps for nitrous, id look into that

hey man, its your GSR bottom end that im using - my parents arent really up to me going turbo on the motor so i have to sell all that turbo stuff i have, and go a different route- I plan on building it eventualy, but not yet, as my main focus is fixing the body of the car-

if you are on a budget the stock bottom end will be fine, but you will lose the bottom end. The nos will make up for it nicely though.
